Woman in her late 60s with Alzheimer's, wanders 2 miles from home.
A woman in her late 60s, with Alzheimer’s, wandered 2 miles from her home near a local shopping center on Wednesday, Feb.16, 2011. Lyndhurst Police Department were notified she had already been missing for about an hour by 8:05p.m. Police arrived at 8:25p.m. beginning an immediate search and had to switch to a mobile search. By 10:30p.m. the woman was signaled and was found sitting in a snow bank, injured from a fall at 10:40p.m. She was treated at Clara Mass Hospital. Another great rescue.
