My Experiences at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference
I recently attended the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference in Orlando, Florida, with my Chief of Operations, Tommy Carter. I was amazed and delighted at the interest expressed by those who did not know about Project Lifesaver, and we enjoyed meeting all the wonderful people participating in the conference. Every day, we had the privilege of speaking with police officers and other personnel about the Project Lifesaver program, and how they can start their own programs in their communities. We appreciate your outpouring of gratitude as well, as we had the opportunity to re-connect with current Project Lifesaver agencies and members! However, this program could not be possible without each and every one of you who work day in and day out to make your communities safer for those at risk of wandering, and we appreciate everyone who has supported this program, past and present.
Additionally, November is National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. Alzheimer’s disease is a growing and serious responsibility. This month, I encourage all organizations, businesses, and individuals to educate themselves on Alzheimer’s disease and discover ways you can help bring awareness and support to your communities.
Again, thank you for all you do to help save lives and bring loved ones home.
